Laurie graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW). Laurie holds memberships with both the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Association of Social Workers. Since 1988, Laurie has provided professional counseling services in the Blue Water area. She works diligently with her dedicated staff to provide the highest level of mental health care possible from a uniquely Christian perspective.

Laurie works with a wide variety of clientele with special interest in women's issues, divorce recovery, couples counseling, and treating those suffering from anxiety, depression, and grief or loss.

Laurie has been married to her husband, Dave, since 1984, and they have three adult daughters and six grandchildren. Her primary goal as the Executive Director is to offer Hope, Healing, and Restoration to everyone we serve at the Colonial Woods Christian Counseling Center.
